This is a bit confusing. For example, I might have written out Einstein's
equations of general relativity by hand without understanding them - but
that would overlook the underlying generating structure. This work was
generated in the sense of [ input > filter > output ]. Whether the filter
was applied by hand or by machine is irrelevant; the fact that there _was_
a filter is important. The filter is many-to-one by the way - you can't
reverse the encoding and come out with a determinative text.

I'm not sure what you're referring here? What is the conflict?

Not sure how to answer you here - it's algorithmic to the extent that the
filter can be applied to various situations. But there's no mathematical
problem solving going on - perhaps you've used the wrong word?

The two definitions above aren't the same of course. I prefer 'filter' -
which can be either passive or active, even returning the same to the same
perhaps (null filter). I'd imagine category theory and functors come into
play here, but I'm not that mathematically sophisticated.

But why a contract? And even the unconscious finds a home, say, in the
dream or interpretations - even in flying dreams there is the logic of
gravity....

Of course - re: the first question - the continuum harbors infinite
structures, both finite and infinite. And open-ended doesn't necessarily
imply infinite.
In short - how free is the psychic mobility you describe? If it were
totally free, I'd imagine there would be chaos (in the literal and not the
metaphoric sense).

Of course! At least for me, just as the dream follows its path, so does
code follow its path, but both are loose, full of play, desire, artifice,
'wobbling,' etc. I'm not thinking of this in the sense of rigidities...
